ITALIAN HOSPITALITY AND DESIGN AT THE CITY PAVILION

04-05-2015

MDF Italia furnishes the fourth Chinese Pavilion in the city.

Located in Piazza Duca d'Aosta, in front of the Central Station, The City Pavilion is the fourth Chinese Pavilion. It follows the spirit of the other three located within Expo 2015 and starts a thread which began in China to link with the Italian system.

The City Pavilion is a Chinese-Italian project aimed at developing and strengthening cultural and trade exchange relations between the two countries and creates a synergy between the cities of Milan and Shanghai.

Architects Tiziano Vudafieri and Claudio Saverino, from the architectural firm Vudafieri-Saverino Partners, had to understand the souls of the two countries to develop an architectural project of great interest. This was reinforced by the presence within the pavilion of international Italian brands, with specific areas of excellence. These took care of interior design and included MDF Italia, lighting by iGuzzini, the catering service, F & B. Café and confectionary are featured by the famous Sant Ambroeus which is a symbol of the tradition of Milan and Lombardy.

MDF Italia’s presence within the City Pavilion is a time of great recognition for the company. In its long tradition it has always stood for the height of excellence, earning the Compasso d’Oro, for its designs which are capable of mixing functional and innovative furnishings.

The City Pavilion is a meeting place of two cultures; a place that, throughout the event, will welcome tourists and Chinese.
