Minima collection: one system, endless configurations.
An icon of MDF Italia and awarded Honourable Mention at the XVIII Compasso d’Oro, Minima is a versatile shelving system that adapts effortlessly to different spaces and functions, meeting every design requirement. Designed in 1998 by Bruno Fattorini, it consists of three key elements – shelf, frame and cabinet – contained within a structure just 15 mm thick, giving the whole composition a distinctive visual lightness.
Made of aluminium – an infinitely recyclable and remarkably durable material – Minima combines elegance with sustainability, offering a long-lasting and timeless solution.
In its various versions, Minima proves to be a versatile and functional furnishing system for both residential and contract settings, capable of structuring spaces with rigour and lightness through customisable configurations. The ground-resting, hanging and sideboard versions organise interiors with balance and formal continuity, adapting to different contexts and proportions. The room divider, extending to full height, interacts with architecture, defining areas without interrupting visual continuity.
Even in office and hospitality environments, the system’s essential design and flexibility make it ideal for collective and professional spaces. Alongside the traditional configurations, Minima office ensures greater storage capacity, offering more space between shelves.
Completing the system is a range of optional accessories, including open units and storage elements with doors or drawers, available in various finishes, further expanding the compositional possibilities and allowing every project to be customised with consistency and precision.

Founder of MDF Italia, Bruno Fattorini led the company from 1992 to 2013, when it was finally acquired by the Cassina family holding. In addition to redefining the company's strategy based on commercial and product policies, he guided the cultural and aesthetic reflection, focusing on specific lifestyles characterised by an evolution of minimalism and simplicity. The respect for the past and the rigour of forms are reflected in the MDF Italia collection he conceived, which includes the iconic Minima bookshelf, Honorable Mention at the Compasso d'Oro.

In 2013, he founded the company Metrica with Lucio Quinzio, which is recognized both in Italy and abroad for its approach to design and project management in the furniture and design sector.
