Though the loft preserves its classic nature thanks to period panelling, doors and windows, as well as arches and a harmonious succession of full and empty spaces, it also introduces new elements that make it both modern and functional.

In the heart of Milan, this 150-sqm apartment housed in a historic early 20th-century building was completely renovated by Studio Wok.

The project aimed to follow contemporary lifestyle, centred on the living area. Suspended platforms were built throughout the apartment, so as to take full advantage of the high ceilings without, however, altering the large glass walls that let in natural light to illuminate the living room. The living area, made up of a kitchen and a living room, features the original herringbone parquet floor.

In the dining room, separated from the kitchen by a partition, the white Tense table, which can seat 6 to 8 people, stands out. Thanks to its simple, essential lines, this table confers lightness upon any ambience, proving to be an elegant addition to even the most classic settings. Instead, the living room is dominated by the Yale sofa and armchair by Jean-Marie Massaud. Their pale-grey shades speak of relaxation enveloped by light.
