&MOSHIK is one of the most exclusive restaurants in Tel Aviv, a place where the gastronomic experience intertwines with design and haute cuisine.
Designed by the architecture studio Pitsou Kedem Architects, the project translates the aesthetics and philosophy of Michelin-starred chef Moshik Roth into forms and materials, creating an environment in perfect balance between elegance and intimacy.
In this setting, the Flow collection armchairs, upholstered in leather, elegantly welcome guests, blending seamlessly into the environment in a synthesis of refinement and comfort.
The essential design and enveloping lines enhance the sense of intimacy, while the wooden base harmoniously interacts with the space’s textured surfaces, creating a connection between indoors and outdoors. Drawing from the chef’s personal background, the architects interpreted the project with an innovative approach, characterised by a strongly minimalist and precise design. “The main goal was to create immediate hospitality, a private experience characterised by a warm, natural and enveloping palette of materials.” – explains Avital Shenhav-Shani, lead architect. The limited number of seats and the bespoke service allow guests to experience an almost private sense of hospitality, establishing a direct dialogue with the chef.
Divided into three main areas, the restaurant features an open and dynamic kitchen that welcomes guests upon entry: “the kitchen is within the visitor’s reach, and he experiences, as in a play, the different stages of the evening - the installation of the dishes and the transformation of the scenes” – reports the architect. The study of lighting and the material selection, based on natural elements, make the experience authentic, while the soft yet intense tones add warmth to the space, evoking a deep connection with the local surroundings. “The appearance of red travertine stone and surfaces in a warm earth tone at significant points in the space creates an additional design layer” – declares Avital.
