Originally conceived as a limited edition piece, Equilibrium Console by Guglielmo Poletti stems from a meticulous industrial development process that preserves the purity of the design and its refined structural research. Defined by extremely slender profiles, the console explores the potential of steel through an essential balance between architecture and visual lightness.
Its construction logic is based on the tensioning of the top, which contributes to the stability of the structure and generates its distinctive curve. Polished brushed steel hardware secures the tensioned cable that connects and balances the base and the top, revealing a careful attention to detail. The glossy finish enhances the object’s presence within a space, while the colour palette diversifies its visual perception, making it suitable for entrance areas, living spaces and representative settings in both residential and contract environments.
Structure and feet
Structure made of 5 mm-thick sheet steel, painted with a glossy lacquered acrylic finish in varius colours.
AISI 304 stainless steel hardware with a polished brushed finish; tensioning system using a 2.5 mm-diameter steel cable.
Felt feet, designed to ensure stability and protect supporting surfaces.

Guglielmo Poletti is a Milan-based Italian designer. His practice ranges from objects, furniture and lighting to architectural interiors, overcoming typological differentiations through a coherent set of criteria. After obtaining an MA at Design Academy Eindhoven, he founded his studio in 2016, collaborating with prominent galleries and manufacturers. He has received numerous awards and recognitions from leading design institutions and global publications.
