A tribute to the force of gravity, Goom by Jean Marie Massaud is a sculptural volume designed for total immersion in comfort. The lines are sharp and concise, yet the visual appeal offers an extra layer of comfort, thanks to in-depth research into materials aimed at achieving ultimate softness. The cushion edges are an iconic design feature, enhancing the contrast between weight and lightness, creating a floating effect.
Goom is a modular system comprising a single unit, a chaise longue, two corner units and two poufs, with the option of adding one or more armrests. All elements are designed to allow for personalised configurations.
From the wooden internal structure to the upholstery and foams, Goom has been designed to be fully disassembled, in line with circular economy principles.
Structure
- Seat structure made of plywood from sustainably managed forests, webbed and padded with differentiated-density polyurethane foam, using a material blend containing at least 15% recycled polyols.
The cushion cover is made of R-PET canvas, quilted with recycled R-PET microfiber. - Backrest structure made of plywood from sustainably managed forests, webbed and padded with differentiated-density polyurethane foam, using a material blend containing at least 15% recycled polyols.
The quilted panel is filled with recycled R-PET microfiber and covered with a fabric made from second-life materials.
The lining is made of thermobonded PET fiber. - Feet and hidden coupling system.
Armrest
Structure made of curved aluminum sheet, matt painted or covered in wood veneer.
Padding in polyurethane foam with a material blend containing at least 15% recycled polyols, and thermobonded PET fiber.
Cover
Removable fabric.
Notes
All elements are supplied with feet in two height options:
- H42 cm, seat height with 4 cm feet (standard);
- H44 cm, seat height with 6 cm feet.
