The Clayer family of coffee tables offers a contemporary reinterpretation of ceramic craftsmanship, highlighting its material richness and expressive strength. The base, distinguished by a three-dimensional texture, is shaped by undulating surfaces that follow one another in a harmonious rhythm, creating a refined interplay of light and shadow that enhances its depth.
Made using the slip-casting ceramic technique, the tables are finished with a hand-applied glaze that enhances the quality of the surface and the chromatic depth of the material. The crystallised glazes amplify the three-dimensionality of the pattern and give each piece subtle variations and tonal transitions, making every table unique.
Available in two sizes and in a palette ranging from more vibrant tones to more neutral shades, Clayer coffee tables bring a tactile and decorative presence to indoor settings, able to interact naturally with a variety of contexts.
Structure
Clayer takes shape through a meticulous slip-casting process, ensuring a high degree of structural consistency.
An initial 24-hour firing at 1050°C transforms the clay into a stable, resistant body, preparing it for the decorative stage.
Subsequently, the glaze is applied by hand and followed by a second 24-hour firing at 1000°C. This specific firing curve is designed to encourage the rheological relaxation of the glassy components: prolonged exposure to high temperatures allows the pigments to fuse in depth, enhancing chromatic richness and tonal variation, while also ensuring excellent surface resistance.
Base
The base is made of painted steel and completed with a felt support, designed to ensure stability and protect surfaces.
