MDF Italia takes part, with Le Banc, to the “SaloneSatellite.20 years of new creativity” exhibition.

SaloneSatellite – springboard for many designers who have become known internationally – celebrates 20 years creativity with a big retrospective exhibition at Fabbrica del Vapore. From 5th to 25th April, “Salone Satellite.20 years of new creativity”, curated by Beppe Finessi, retraces, through the presentation of over 500 objects gone into production, the history of the event and its numerous protagonists, i.e. those designers, over 100, who have met with success and today are project managers recognised for their originality and personality. Among them, also the Belgian designer Xavier Lust. 
It was 2000 when the young Xavier exhibited for the first time at SaloneSatellite some pieces of his, including Le Banc, an anodised aluminium bench made entirely by hand, that immediately attracted the attention of Bruno Fattorini, MDF Italia founder and at that time, art director. The decision of including Le Banc in MDF Italia collection originates from the meeting of the creative and talented young designer with Fattorini. In fact in 2001, the bench is present in the company catalogue. 
The choice of exhibiting Le Banc was not casual: this product expresses very well the artist’s project philosophy and for MDF Italia it represents the start of a long collaboration of the company with this talented designer. In fact Xavier Lust was the first designer who was required to draw for MDF Italia collection.
