ELEGANCE AND LIGHTNESS. THE NEW MDF ITALIA OUTDOOR COLLECTION

28-02-2020

The MDF Italia collection is enriched by new outdoor options: simple lines and the utmost lightness to share moments of relaxation and well-being both indoors and out. Tables and chairs give life to a contemporary, sophisticated dining room, while sofas and armchairs are the ideal solution to create an outdoor living area.

The new Arpa collection designed by Spanish architect and designer Ramón Esteve bursts onto this scene: a collection of light, simple sofas, armchairs and coffee tables drawing inspiration from the elegant musical instrument (arpa means “harp” in Italian). The severe design and simplicity of the orthogonal structure contrast with the subtle elegance of the thin strings supporting the upholstery, making the Arpa collection an icon of simplicity.

Technical materials and fabrics ensure a product’s resistance to atmospheric agents and durability, enabling it to preserve its features over time.
Thus, Rock Table is enriched by the stone chip cement in hues inspired by nature, the Iroko wood base makes the iconic Flow Chair ideal for outdoor areas and Tense is enhanced by aluminium-coated finishings to make it the perfect addition to a wide range of outdoor backdrops.

But the outdoor collection is also made of weaving, like we see in Flow Filo – a refined, elegant chair made up of 30 m of steel wires – or in the Neil Twist Armchair with its 330 m of skilfully handwoven rope and the 160 m that make up the Neil Twist Chair.
Designed by Jean-Marie Massaud, these two seats feature five vibrant colours and a blend of design and craftsmanship to create a unique product. Transversal for business or residential spaces, the contemporary yet timeless nature of the Neil Twist Armchair and Neil Twist Chair make them ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

The unmistakable MDF Italia stylistic features stand out both in the outdoor and indoor furnishings thanks to the refined, contemporary options on offer, a result of blending simplicity and technique.
