Designed in 2009 by Piergiorgio and Michele Cazzaniga, Tense represents the core idea of a table, so authentic and minimal that it adapts to the most varied environments, whether residential or professional. The extreme consistency of shapes and finishes, single, identical materials for the legs and top, transmits a feeling of lightness and stability, compactness and contemporary style. With a technological heart enclosed in the panel of the top, the table can reach up to 4 metres in length. Today, Tense is a system of tables defined through different materials, colours, and heights to meet any need.

Tense & Tense Outdoor

Tense, a monochromatic table available in three variants: white Solid Surface, matt black and medium grey Fenix, and matt black and white Laminate.

The ability of the components to maintain tension allows the tabletop to reach a length of 4 meters while ensuring perfect flatness.

Steel legs with a 35x35 mm section, featuring an internal structural tensioning system.

Also available in the Low Table version, in rectangular and square variants with heights of 45 and 35 cm, in the various finishes of Tense, Tense Material, and Tense Heritage.

It can be equipped with a cable management tray to meet the needs of contemporary workspaces.

Tense goes Outdoor

Tense Outdoor is the result of in-depth research on the most suitable materials for outdoor environments. Fully covered in aluminum sheet, it is available in a painted version or with reconstructed stone finishes.

Tense Material

Tense Material Wood in Wood, Carbon, and Fine Wood versions.

Top-access available in the same finish as the table.

Tense Material Stone in its 7 versions.

Tense Material Heritage

The 'sgorbiatura' technique gives the tabletop a wavy surface, enhancing the sensory experience through a rich tactile component.

Entirely handcrafted, the workmanship of Tense Material Heritage evokes the timeless elegance of an ancient artisanal tradition.

Available in three heights and various sizes, up to a maximum length of 4 meters, Tense Material Heritage adapts to any need with versatility and elegance.

"I have been collaborating with MDF Italia since 2004. From the very beginning, I shared with the company the need to create high-performance furniture, capable of evoking emotions through their simplicity and absolute nature."

Piergiorgio Cazzaniga has worked with renowned companies and professionals in the sector, assuming key roles in the field of product design, showrooms and displays. In 1991 he founded his own studio 'Piergiorgio Cazzaniga Design', building a rich portfolio of clients. The prestigious awards and mentions obtained attest to the excellence and innovation that distinguish his projects. His Tense tables, designed for MDF Italia, are among the best-selling products of the company, distinguished by their minimal and iconic design. The wide range of sizes and finishes available gives the collection a high versatility, making it ideal for many contexts and styles.

Michele Cazzaniga

"To design by simplifying, to extrapolate the essence."

Specialised in industrial product design and interior architecture, Michele Cazzaniga attended the prestigious Politecnico di Milano, where he graduated in Industrial Design. Over the years, he has collaborated with renowned design firms, creating significant projects. Together with Piergiorgio Cazzaniga, with whom he has worked closely since 1999, he designed the 'Tense' table collection for MDF Italia, icons of essentiality and functionality.
