In 2005, the German studio Neuland Industriedesign conceived Random, a bookcase that revolutionised the very idea of storage by transforming it into a design sculpture.
The irregular, dynamic arrangement of the shelves breaks away from symmetry and introduces a radical aesthetic, where form and function merge with ease.
Rapidly becoming a best-seller in the MDF Italia collection and selected for the XXI Compasso d’Oro ADI, Random now celebrates its twentieth anniversary, establishing itself as a timeless icon.
To mark the occasion, MDF Italia presents an editorial project curated by Ark Journal with the styling of Pernille Vest: three living environments where Random enters into dialogue with architecture, revealing its full expressive power.
